Maison de la Canne (Sugar Cane Museum)
This sugar cane museum is situated at Habitation Vatable in Trois-Ilets and was a rum distillery between 1916 and 1962. After being closed for many years the Martinique Sugar Cane Association took over the property in 1987 and restored and converted the property into a museum which excellently illustrates the culture and history of sugar cane over the past three centuries. The museum is open every day from 9am to 6pm and costs 3 euros for adults and 75c for children.

Musée de la Banane (Banana Museum)
The Banana Museum is located in Sainte Marie on the lush hills which are still producing some of the best bananas in the world today. The museum is based in the house previously occupied by the Plantation Managers and illustrates everything you need to know about bananas from harvesting to packaging. The museums also has shops selling perfume, dolls, soap, jams, cakes and cocktails. You'll also have the opportunity to walk through the plantations and gardens on well marked trails. The museum is open daily from 9am to 5pm, apart from in the summer where the museum is closed at 1pm on Sundays. Admission costs 4,60 euros for Adults and 2,50 euros for Children.

La Poterie near Trois-Ilets dates back centuries in Martinique history where household domestic items were made. Today La Poterie is more famous for its works of art using the best clay on the island. La Poterie is open from 9.30am to 5.30pm and admission is free.
