SCENIC DRIVES
There are numerous scenic drives in Martinique, especially in the North, however these are the two not to miss whilst on holiday in Martinique:

Le Diamant to Anse d’Arlet Coastal Road (D37)
This is a superb coastal road that takes you up into the hills and provides some stunning views of The Rocher du Diamant (The Diamond Rock). You arrive at Grand Anse which is a pretty seaside town with brightly coloured boats and restaurants.

Route de la Trance (N3)

This is a beautiful drive from Fort-de-France through a lush rainforest to the North East. The road takes you past the Balata Sacré-cœur  (a smaller replica of the Sacré-cœur  in Paris), Jardin Balata and Pitons du Carbet mountains. There are many marked walks off the route up and around these peaks. Whilst working your way up through the mountains, it is well worthwhile stopping off at Jardin Balata which is a stunning tropical botanical garden. The entrance fee costs 6,50 euros for adults.
